Verses: Psalms 140: 1 - 13
Song inspired by the
chapter: Song has been uploaded from YouTube.com and is not my original.
My thoughts about the
verses:
We all have those
moments in our life when we feel that we are being surrounded on all
sides. You are in a situation that seems
impossible to get out of. You feel as if
you are surrounded on all sides by different issues that have no way to
overcome. You actually feel as if the
world is draining the very life out of you.
Isn’t it shocking in
those moments that you are so worried about the enemies around you that you
forget those that are there to help you.
We forget our friends and family.
We forget most importantly that God is there on our side. We forget that all we need is right there around
us.
We think that the end is
coming and all of a sudden we find the hope we need. We discover that we have the peace we need to
survive. We remember that we are not
alone. We find the strength and comfort
that we need to get through all the situations that are affecting us.
We learn that our
strength comes from a much higher power than our inner selves. We discover that when we most need God we
find our strength. We discover that God
has always been there. We realize that
our enemies are weak. We come to the
point of understanding that nothing is impossible without God.
Every time we feel alone
and lost we only need to call on God. We
see that for every door that is closed there is another opportunity. We come to see that our God gives us peace
and strength. We do not have to face the
world without Jesus. We may seem like we
are in a deep dark tunnel but we all of a sudden see the light at the end of
our journey.
It is in those moments
that we come to realize that we need to praise our God. We need to offer up praises to the one that
has always been there. The one that
provides our strength and comfort needs to be worshiped. It is during this praise that our enemies lose
their grip and we become the conquerors that God wants us to be.
Prayer:
We praise you God for
always being there for us. We thank you
for your strength and wisdom. We worship
you for opening the windows that we need.
Help us always feel your strength.
Help us to remember that you are there with us in our times of
need. In the name of Our Source of
Strength we pray. Amen
Questions:
Have you asked God for help in your times of
need? Have you been surrounded by the impossible
but found the light at the end of the tunnel?
Is today the day that you truly turn your whole life over to God? Is today the day that you praise God for all
the help you have received in your life?
