Understanding the Human and Spiritual Sides of Jesus

Verses: Luke 20 : 41 - 44

My thoughts about the verses:

Have you ever asked the question how can Jesus be fully human and fully God incarnate?  This is a question that people even asked during the time Jesus walked on this Earth.  I believe that is hard for us to accept because we cannot believe God would come in human form to save us.
Everyone expected a triumphant king to come into the world.  They did not expect a babe to come and then suffer and finally die.

Jesus is on the same lineage of David.  This makes him a family member of David.  This was a fulfillment of  prophesies that said the Messiah would be an heir of King David.  A lot of people look up to King David because of the faith he possessed in God.

Yet, if Jesus was only human then it would defeat the purpose that he came to achieve.  See if you look at it no one that is completely human could lead a completely blemish free life.  They would have done something that would have separated from the perfect relationship of God.  Yet let us point out that it was vital for us that Jesus was without any sin.  Being fully God incarnate allowed him to stay within the law.

Jesus was there when the law was created.  Jesus had the only perfect everlasting relationship with God.  Therefor Jesus was as much God as the parent.  So it is important that we keep this in mind when we study the word of God.  Jesus is not only the heir of the Jewish throne but also the heir of the Heavenly throne.

Prayer:

Dear God thank you for sending Jesus.  Thank you for all the things that you do in our lives to help us rebuild our relationship with you.  Help us to understand the true healing power that comes from loving you.  Help us to never forget that you came into this world to save us not to condemn us.  In the name of the Heavenly Parent we pray.  Amen
Questions:

Do you understand the connection Jesus has with David?  Do you trust the connection that Jesus has with God the Parent?  Have you started calling Jesus your Savior?  Do you accept that God is the ruler that the world needed?
